The gastrointestinal tract's malignancies, such as those of the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, colon, and rectum, are included in the category of gastrointestinal and hepatic-pancreaticobiliary cancers. The tumors of the liver, bile duct, gallbladder, and pancreas are referred to as hepatic-pancreaticobiliary cancers. The majority of these tumors manifest at stage 3 or stage 4 of their development. While stage 4 cancer spreads to distant organs like the liver, lungs, or distant lymph nodes, stage 3 disease means that the spread is loco-regional to the surrounding or local lymph nodes or adjacent organs. Cancer symptomatology varies depending on the organ affected and the degree of involvement of the organ. For instance, early-stage stomach cancer might have few symptoms, but advanced cancer may present with pain, vomiting, and other symptoms.
